Painting Enquiry

Margaret was born in 1950, quickly establishing herself as a full time painter, had her first solo exhibition in 1972.

The French have been very excited by her work. She was accepted into the Paris Salon in 1974 and elected into the Societe des Artists Francais in 1975. Membership of the Pastel Society in London came in 1980 and a solo exhibition in America in 1982.

Margaret teaches at home and abroad, has published books of her work only, and has also shared books with other painters.

She is highly regarded by other pastelists. Her work consists of building many layers on course paper giving great depth of colour. Working in oil too, Margaret gives the customer the opportunity of comparing and contrasting her work in each of the two medium.

Her work hangs in private and public collections in many countries around the world.
